Details

Clipper is a selective contact water dispersible granule herbicide containing 51% flumioxazin as the active ingredient. It controls selected submersed, emergent and floating aquatic weeds (one of our best products for watermeal control).

PLANTS CONTROLLED: Floating and emerged weeds include: Alligator Weed, Duckweed, Water Lettuce, Watermeal, Water Pennywort, Pithophora Algae and Cladophora Algae. Submersed weeds include: Coontail, Fanwort, Hydrilla, Southern Naiad, Curly-leaf Pondweed, Sago Pondweed, Variable-leaf Pondweed, Eurasian-water Milfoil and Variable-leaf Milfoil. Any weed population may contain or develop plants that are resistant to Clipper Herbicide so avoid consecutive use by alternating herbicides used for control. Under optimum conditions, 3 - 21 days are required before the desired level of aquatic weed control is achieved.

APPLICATION RATES: Surface application rates range from 6-12 ounces/acre. Sub-surface application rates range from 1.06 - 2.12 lbs/acre-ft (200 - 400 ppb). Treatments are most effective when applied early in the morning to young, actively growing weeds in water with a pH of less than 8.5. The use of an adjuvant such as Cygnet Plus is recommended especially for surface application.

USE RESTRICTIONS: Waters treated with Clipper Herbicide may be used for drinking, swimming, and fishing immediately following treatment. Do not use treated water for food crops or greenhouse/nursery plants until 5 days after treatment. For turf and landscape ornamentals, treated water should not be used for 0 - 3 days (depending on treatment rate).

Information above is provided as a reference only. Please consult the label and MSDS for detailed information on application rates and use restrictions. Not Available in CA, CT, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, OR, RI, WA, VT.
