Cutrine Plus Granular Algaecide (30 lb Bag)

Cutrine Plus Granular is a granular algaecide containing 3.7% elemental copper as the active ingredient. It is especially for control of Benthic (bottom-growing) forms of algae including Chara, Nitella, and bottom growing filamentous algae.

ALGAE CONTROLLED: Benthic (bottom-growing) forms such as Chara and Nitella which should be treated early in the season as they become very resistant as the season progresses. It is also effective for bottom growths of filamentous algae. Full effects of treatments may range from 7 - 21 days depending on algae forms, weather, degree of infestation and water temperatures.

APPLICATION RATES: For large areas, application rates are 60 lbs/acre while smaller spot treatments are performed at 1 lb per 720 square feet. Heavy growth may require re-treatment.  For best results, spread Cutrine Plus Granular early in the day which will usually allow for a quiet water surface and ample sunlight needed for maximum control.  For help in determining acreage and volume, please visit our Acreage and Volume Calculations page.

USE RESTRICTIONS: Waters treated with Cutrine Plus Granular may be used for swimming or fishing immediately after treatment.  However, swimming may cause drift of the active ingredients and reduce effectiveness.  Water from treated lakes and ponds may be used to irrigate turf, fairways, putting greens and ornamental plants.  Do not use in waters containing Koi or hybrid goldfish. Not intended for use in small volume, garden pond systems.
